Registration Procedures
Our school secretary, Mrs. Perkins, will be at her duties June 30- July 7 and August 30 – September 3rd. Please encourage neighbors who are new to our community to register their children from 9:00am-2:00pm.
First Day Startup Procedures:
Tuesday, September 7th - 8:25 – 10:00 a.m.
* ALL * students will be grouped according to their grade for that year and will go to a specific location for the first day.
Grade 1 students meet in the undercovered area, Grade 2 students meet in room 13, Grade 3 students meet in room 7, Grade 4 students meet in room 108, Grade 5 students meet in room 107, Grade 6 students meet in room 101.
Parents are invited to the Multi-Purpose room for coffee and goodies provided by our Parent Group and then to the assembly in the gym beginning at 9:20.
* Students will be dismissed from their specific location at 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday, September 8th – 8:25 – 2:18
* We will repeat the Tuesday procedure.
*Depending upon the nature of new registrations final class lists may not be in place until the end of the first week.
* We ask that students and their parents establish a predetermined meeting spot for the 2:18 dismissal.
Student Supplies
School supply lists will be sent home with students on the first day of school. Once classroom lists have been finalized, individual teachers may request specific items reflecting classroom needs.
School Hours
Kindergarten Classes – Watson has three full day kindergarten classes which will be on a gradual entry schedule. During the week of Sept. 7th students and their parents have been scheduled to visit Watson for a tour as well as to begin attending kindergarten on partial days. Please see the office or kindergarten teachers for a schedule of gradual entry.
Grades 1-6
This bell schedule is effective Wednesday, September 8, 2010.
8:20 am Warning Bell 8:25 am Classes begin 10:00 to 10:15 am Recess 10:15 to 12:00 am Classes in session 12:00 to 12:40 Lunch 12:40 Warning bell 12:45 to 2:18pm Classes in session
Meet the Teacher Night: September 16th
All parents and students are invited to our meet the Teacher Night on September 16th . Teachers will be in their classrooms from 6:00 – 6:30 and then everyone will be called to the gym for an assembly from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. The purpose of this evening is to begin our home and school partnership for the year. The staff looks forward to meeting with you on this date!
The PAC is comprised of ALL parents of the school. There are four elected Executive positions each year: Chairperson, Co-Chairperson, Treasurer, and Secretary. Everyone else is automatically part of the PAC. The new PAC executive for 2010/2011 is:
